Metairie is just outside of New Orleans and is very active in sports, remember, Louisiana is the Sportsman’s Paradise as the license plates say. Metairie has very nice parks and playgrounds and every sport imaginable, except dog fighting. From T-ball to adult leagues and you can find something going on every weekend and at night during the week. Lots of water sports too including, boating, skiing and fishing.
